Don E Miller Septic Service Inc

Reliable & Professional Septic Services In North Hanover Township, NJ Since 1963

Don E. Miller Septic Service, Inc. started out as Harrison Cesspool Service in the 1950's by Don E Miller's Step-Father Hughe Harrison. When Hughe passed away Don helped his mother, Adelaide, run and keep the business going. During this time Don married Sherry and they had their first son Donny. The business officially became Don E Miller Septic Service in 1963 after which Don and Sherry had two more sons, Tommy and Mark. Growing up all three boys helped their father with the business, learning how to clean out and repair septic systems and how to drive, operate and maintain the vacuum trucks. Don was a hard worker, never taking a day off. He never took a vacation; in fact the one and only time he left the state of New Jersey was to buy a new vacuum truck! He wanted to be there for his customers even if that meant going out on Christmas Day in a 2 foot snow storm. He instilled that work ethic in his sons.

Donny worked for his father during his teenage years and early twenties. Donny had a career working for himself as a truck driver for a few years before he returned to work for the family business around 1996. Tommy officially started working for the business in 1986 and has never left. Mark, the youngest worked as a union plumber after graduating high school until he came to work for the family business in when Don became ill. After a long battle with lung cancer Don passed away on October 4th of 2004. He is greatly missed every day.

The business was incorporated as Don E Miller Septic Service, Inc. in December of 2004. Donny's Potty's was added as a trade name at that time as well. Sherry has passed suddenly in 2011. Her calm manor and sense of humor will never be forgotten. Many customers still recall when calling in they would hear her birds singing in the back ground. Donny retired in 2015 and his son Adam continues to work with is uncles. Tommy and Mark strive every day to continue their parent’s legacy of hard work and excellent customer care.

We are proud to be an 3rd Generation American ran and owned business. Today we continue to provide honest and expert service to our customers just have we have done for over 55 years.
